Here's our TV advert that we made for our CEM group.

Video Advert

It was a nice day yesterday for our filming, the rain didn't start until just as we were finished, which was nice of it. It's all been edited and smoothly voiced over by Alex and handed in so hopefully i'll be able to show it on here at some point. Thanks to Greg and Iona for their help even though they aren't in our group (Iona isn't even at the college)!

Duthie Park

Today we head to Duthie park to film our video advert for CEM. The storyboard was a good idea I think, we have to wear suits and dresses (not at the same time and gender specific). I just hope the weather holds out!

Late post

It's been a while since i've posted anything, and I'm a bit late on posting this. Our group won the video contest with our video in which the cast were cups. If and when it becomes available i'll post it up here. Big thanks to Alex for his editing skills and for probably selling his local Sainsbury's out of their strongest coffee.

Audacity

On Monday I learned how to use basic functions in Audacity. The task was to read out a Haiku and pick out a picture, Duncan then uploaded the picture and the audio onto youtube.

CEM Corporate Event

I photoshopped a picture of the inside of a london eye pod to make it look as though Chris was in the picture promoting the mock-company CEM.

More photoshopping

For this one I cropped it to a panoramic view, straightened the horizon slightly, got a few pictures from http://www.sxc.hu and pasted them in and resized. For the football I added a motion blur effect.

6th Post

Added a balloon from clipart.

5th Photoshop

Straightened the horizon and cropped the picture into a panoramic view.

Cropped image so that the building was the centerpiece.

Cropped this picture into a panoramic view.

2nd Photoshop

Second photoshop. The picture was too dark so I adjusted the levels to make it lighter, I then resized it so that it wasn't too large for this blog.

First time using photoshop

My first time using photoshop so just a practice. Changed the photo to black and white, played around with the lighting settings and copied a picture of a balloon from clipart.

The verdict

The CEM group selected Sian's designs which you can see by clicking the link.

CEM ID Card

Here's the ID card I created for CEM. It sticks to the same theme as the others.

Letterhead

This is a letterhead I created for CEM. I have resized the same design to make it more suitable for a letterhead. Edit: After discussion with the CEM group they have decided that they would prefer a gold font on the main lettering (see the top picture).

Business Card

These are two business cards I created for CEM, the only difference is the font, the one at the bottom is the original card I made, the top one is an edit. For a reference for the picture see my previous post. Edit: After discussion with the CEM group they have decided they would prefer a gold font for the main title (see top picture).

Company Logo

As part of this course our group was asked to come up with the idea for a company and exchange this idea with another group. We then had to design a logo for the other groups company. The company we designed for is 'Complete Events Management'. Here is the logo I designed. Edit: After discussion with the CEM group they have decided that they would prefer a gold font for the main title (see top picture). I got the picture of the champagne glasses from here.
